Terms of use
Last updated 24 August 2026. Written to be read, not skimmed.
1. Who we are
SleeperLot (“we”, “us”) operates sleeperlot.com. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Contact: luke@sleeperlot.com.
2. What the service is
SleeperLot is an information service. It publishes statistical estimates about auction listings: predicted closing prices, reference prices from active listings, and the difference between them, together with the sample size and confidence behind each estimate. It is read-only. It does not place bids, does not act on any marketplace on your behalf, and provides no mechanism to do so.
3. Estimates are estimates
All figures are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or merchantability. Our published track record is the only accuracy claim we make, and it is a measurement, not a promise. Read the disclaimer; it forms part of these terms.
4. Your responsibility
Every decision to bid, buy, or resell is yours alone. You are responsible for reading the listing, verifying the item, understanding the marketplace’s own terms, and for all costs and consequences of any transaction. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a seller or marketplace.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its estimates, including lost money on an auction, lost profit on a resale, missed opportunities, or errors and omissions in our data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free service is nothing.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site or its data to operate automated bidding, sniping, or “buy-for-me” agents on any marketplace. Those violate the marketplaces’ terms and ours.
- Do not scrape, mirror, or bulk-redistribute site content or the underlying data files, or attempt to reconstruct individual listing histories from published aggregates.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or overload it.
7. Third-party data and marks
Listing data originates from third-party marketplaces and is used under their published developer and site terms. We retain only aggregates and remove individual listing content once it is no longer publicly available on its source. eBay, ShopGoodwill, and other names are trademarks of their owners; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
8. Waitlist and accounts
If you join the waitlist you give us an email address so we can tell you when paid features launch. You can ask to be removed at any time. Paid tiers, when offered, will have their own terms presented at purchase. Nothing here obliges us to launch any feature.
9. Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
