Disclaimer
The plain-language version. It is short because the point is simple.
Every number here is an estimate
SleeperLot shows predicted closing prices, reference prices drawn from active listings, and
the gap between them. These are statistical estimates computed from public listing data. They
are not appraisals, not offers, and not a guarantee of what any item is worth or what it will
sell for. When we show a range with an n next to it, the range is the claim and
the n is how much evidence sits behind it. A range built on three comparables is
a weaker claim than one built on forty, and we say so rather than hide it.
We are wrong some of the time, on purpose
An 80% interval is expected to miss about one close in five. Our track record publishes every call against the real outcome so you can see how often that happens, and in which direction. If the published miss rate is not one you are comfortable with, do not act on the estimates.
Bidding is your decision
SleeperLot never places, schedules, or recommends a specific bid. It does not auto-bid, snipe, or interact with any marketplace account on your behalf. A human reads the page and a human decides. Anything you bid, win, pay for, or fail to resell is your own responsibility, including shipping, fees, condition surprises, and the item simply not being what its title said.
We do not know the item
We match listings to an item class from titles, structured specifics, and category. We never inspect the item. A listing can be misdescribed, counterfeit, damaged, or missing parts, and our estimate will not know. Read the listing. Look at the photos. Check the seller.
Not affiliated with any marketplace
SleeperLot is independent. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with eBay, ShopGoodwill, or any other auction platform. Listing data is used under those platforms’ published terms and only for as long as it is publicly available.
Not financial advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Resale margins shown are arithmetic on estimates, before your own costs, and they carry the same uncertainty as everything else here.
